Yang Hyun Suk Expresses Interest in These Two 11 Year Old K-Pop Star 6 Contestants

Two 11-year old contestants have won K-Pop Star Season 6, and Yang Hyun Suk has already expressed a great interest in signing them to his label.

In a recent episode of K-Pop Star season 6, two 11-year-old boys who call themselves “Boyfriend” performed their own rendition of G-Dragon‘s “Crooked”, which gave them the push to win the entire competition.

Their performance was flawless, even though they were required to rap, sing, and dance simultaneously to the fast and upbeat song. And while all the judges were highly amazed at how talented the two boys were, YG Entertainment‘s Yang Hyun Suk was particularly interested in them.

“There aren’t even that many trainees around your age who perform as well as you do… I don’t think you even know how to tie your own shoe laces yet, but I’m so curious as to what you’ll both become when you grow up. I think you’ll be the future of K-Pop Star.”

Boyfriend then performed Park Jin Young‘s “Swing Baby” for the second round of the competition, in which the judges previously expressed that they weren’t sure whether the 11-year-olds would be able to follow the complex rhythm and beat of the swing genre song.

However, to the judges’ surprise, they performed another perfect stage and upgraded it by adding their own raps and choreographies to the performance.

Yang Hyun Suk was again incredibly impressed, and requested that they take care of their voices, especially when their voices start to break during puberty. He also revealed that he hoped the two boys will come to YG Entertainment to pursue their artist careers.

“I’m speechless. I really hope you two come to YG.”
