Working With PSY Doesn’t Feel Like Work To BTS’s Suga, And Here Is The Unexpectedly Wholesome Reason Why

It says a lot about the respect they both have for each other!

Working with PSY was not what BTS‘s Suga expected it to be. Despite the age difference between the two artists, they both felt so at ease with each other that collaborating didn’t even feel like work!

In the full interview behind-the-scenes of “That That,” PSY comments that, “His musical spectrum is very wide, and I really didn’t feel like there was a generational gap.”

This feeling was apparent to Suga, who says that PSY had proven to be different than what he expected. PSY, according to Suga, actually looks for inspiration in the younger generations…

And it is this willingness to connect with younger people that made working with him so easy. Seeing as PSY is over 15 years older than him, it would have made sense for Suga to expect a more formal or hierarchical working relationship between them. But that couldn’t have been further from the case!

…working with him didn’t feel like work at all. It was such a fun process. Working with PSY felt like working with an old childhood friend.

Not only was Suga able to have fun while working with PSY, but they also worked together closely as equals with lots of mutual respect.

The results of this wholesome dynamic speak for themselves: barely a week after premiering, the MV for “That That” has already surpassed 100 million views! Hopefully this won’t be the last time we see these two legends work together.
