It Took Stray Kids’ Lee Know Years To Join JYP Entertainment

He’d already given up hope before he got the call.

Stray KidsLee Know and Hyunjin guested on Mnet‘s TMI News, where they told their stories of how they joined JYP Entertainment. While Hyunjin’s was rather scary, Lee Know’s was far more laidback.

At the time, Lee Know had already been working as a dancer and competed in a dance competition. Afterward, he got a call from JYP Entertainment and attended an audition.

He didn’t hear anything back from the company and assumed the audition had been a failed one. It didn’t stop him from living his life.

But, I didn’t hear back from them for a long time. So, I thought I failed.

Lee Know took it in stride and continued his life as a dancer. Years later, he received a call from the company.

They’d finally asked him to become a trainee. Since he’d only trained one year before debuting with Stray Kids, it seems like being an idol was always in the cards for him.

Listen to Lee Know casually talk about the unusually long period between his audition and his acceptance.
