New Chat Logs Showcase Seungri’s Direct Knowledge of Police Collusion

Seungri knew the police were helping them.

In a new reveal from Kang Kyung Yoon, who is spearheading the case against Seungri, Jung Joon Young, and the hidden camera chatroom, another chat log has been revealed, showcasing how Seungri had direct knowledge of the police’s involvement in turning a blind eye to the wrongdoings that were happening.

Lawyer Bang previously mentioned yesterday, March 12, how the KakaoTalk chat logs contained many references showing collusion with public powers, which is why the logs were handed over to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, not the police.

“Within the data contained a number of collusive ties with public powers, showing very high suspicions of having ties with the police.”

— Lawyer Bang

SBS FunE was able to obtain a brand new KakaoTalk conversation between Mr. Kim and Seungri. The chat was dated July 28, 2016 at 11:36 pm KST. At the time, Seungri had opened up a club called Monkey Museum in Gangnam.

Mr. Kim: It’d be awesome if we can resolve the air conditioning situation (in the club)

Seungri: Yea

Mr. Kim: I saw the message between XX hyung and the police chief

Mr. Kim: Looks like the report was taken care of too ㅎㅎㅎ

Seungri: What did he say

Mr. Kim: It was really long. Yesterday, another business

Mr. Kim: took a photo of the interior [of Monkey Museum] and reported it [for a violation]

Mr. Kim: but the police chief said the other business reported it because they were jealous and said not to worry, that he’d take care of it for us. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

SBS FunE were also able to interview CEO Yoo, who was present at the opening of Monkey Museum.

“I don’t know anyone related to the police. Whether it is the police chief, or the Seoul police chief, I don’t know anyone. We have not been at the same spot together.”

— CEO Yoo

Seungri’s lawyer stated that Monkey Museum had previously received a penalty for violating the Food and Sanitation Act, however the act of trying to hide the violation is not true.

More details regarding the suspicions of collusion with the police will be reported later tonight, on SBS 8pm news.
