Heechul Not Joining Super Junior’s Comeback Performances Due To Health Issues

The group will be performing with only 6 members.

Label SJ has announced that Heechul will not be promoting with Super Junior for their upcoming “REPLAY” promotions.

A statement released through Super Junior’s official homepage explained that Heechul would be sitting out of music show performances due to health concerns.

“Heechul will not be participating in music show appearances for Super Junior’s 8th repackaged album ‘REPLAY,’ which will be released on April 12, because of health issues.” — Label SJ

He will participate in all other promotions while Super Junior performs on stage as a 6-member unit.

“Heechul will participate in all other promotions outside of music shows. This was decided because our artist’s health is our top priority, so we ask for your understanding. The title track “Lo Siento” will be performed by Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Siwon with 6 members on stage.” — Label SJ

Heechul’s health issues are due to a major car accident in 2006, which resulted in a 10-hour leg surgery.
