Former CNBLUE Member Lee Jonghyun To Be Discharged From The Army This Month

He will not return to the army base for his discharge due to concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Former CNBLUE member Lee Jonghyun is currently on his final vacation (beginning March 20) before being discharged from the army. He will not return to the base for his March 25 discharge due to concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Last month, the Korean Ministry of Defense began a new protocol for military personnel with the emergence of COVID-19. Soldiers who are nearing their discharge date and were on vacation prior to then are now being released without having to return to service. Jonghyun is among the soldiers that were not required to return to service prior to discharge.

Jonghyun joined the army in August 2018. Later, in March 2019, he was involved in scandals regarding an chat group featuring sex cam videos, as well as for sending inappropriate DMs to a BJ, which ultimately saw his departure from CNBLUE.
