After a long, tell-all press conference opened by The East Light’s leader Lee Seokcheol, Lee Seokcheol and his brother Lee Seunghyun filed a lawsuit against Producer Moon, CEO Kim and Representative Director Lee Jung Hyun. Producer Moon was later arrested and CEO Kim and Representative Director Lee also prosecuted.

On March 5, 2019, the first trial against Producer Moon, CEO Kim and Representative Director Lee was held. Producer Moon was suspected of habitual child abuse, CEO Kim of child abuse and Representative Director Lee of violation of the Child Welfare Act.

Producer Moon has admitted the fact that he had abused the brothers for the past 3 years but indicated that the way the media portrayed him was not accurate.

While we admit all of the charges, the image of Producer Moon Young Il that was created as the story was released in the press made it seem as if he habitually abused (the members) as a form of enjoyment (and this is not true).

Meanwhile, CEO Kim and Representative Director Lee denied all accusations. The legal representatives of these two stated that they do not agree with using the statements of the brothers, their parents and the other witnesses as evidence. As a result, the prosecution has decided to summon Lee Seokcheol and Lee Seunghyun to court as witnesses during the next trial, which will be held on April 19.
