BTS Is Bringing The HYYH Era To 2020 — Are You Ready For It?

A new throwback to 2015 is getting fans excited.

After five years, BTS‘s HYYH era is back, but the question is: did it ever really leave?

In 2015, BTS released their third EP, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1, also called Hwayangyeonhwa (or HYYH for short). This era produced many memorable works and sparked countless theories that formed the “HYYH series”, which was officially renamed the BTS Universe in 2017.

One of the most iconic photos from that time is from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 concept shoot. In it, BTS lie head to head in the grass, immortalized in the spring of youth.

On July 13, Twitter user KookieCila shared photos from four different MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY albums, which will be officially released on July 15…

…including this homage to HYYH. The members are positioned in the exact same order that they were in the HYYH grass photoshoot photos.

According to KookieCila, the grass photo for MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY is not a poster, but the case cover for Version D.

Fans who have compared the photos say that they’re far too similar to be coincidental. The HYYH is here! Now ARMYs who weren’t there for the original HYYH era can relive it through this nostalgic throwback.
