BTS Finally Responds To Sean Ro’s Ice Bucket Challenge

Sean Ro challenged BTS to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, and they accepted.

BTS has joined the growing list of 2018 Ice Bucket Challenge participants after being called out on Instagram.

The Ice Bucket Challenge began in 2014 as a way to promote the awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (aka ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease). This challenge encourages nominated participants to film themselves dumping ice water over their heads and then nominating someone else to do the same.

MOMOLAND‘s JooE participated in this year’s challenge.

Once nominated, Ice Bucket Challenge participants have 24 hours to accept the challenge. If they fail to accept the challenge, they forfeit through a charitable donation. Many participants, however, still choose to make a donation to the cause even if they do take the icy plunge.

Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun took a frigid dip in the name of charity!

Jinusean‘s Sean Ro, nicknamed the “Charity Angel“, is one of ALS’s strongest celebrity advocates.

He started up the Ice Bucket Challenge this year to raise funds for the Seungil Hope Foundation’s first hospital for ALS patients in Korea.

On Instagram, Sean Ro invited BTS to join the challenge, mentioning the generous donations Chinese ARMYs have already made in BTS’s name.

BTS isn’t known to back down from a challenge, and this is no exception. The group answered Sean Ro’s call on June 27 by making a monetary donation. BTS posted their Certificate of Donation on Twitter.

“We participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge after being nominated by Sean. We are very happy to join in your good work. We hope that more people will show interest through our participation. Thank you.” — BTS
