BTS Cancels Activities In U.S. After Grammys Announces Award Show Postponement

They have decided to cancel plans for now.

K-Pop idol group BTS announced that they had canceled their trip to the U.S. after the Grammys revealed that they would be postponing the awards ceremony. Big Hit Music told media outlet Newsen, “We were preparing to attend the Grammys, but stopped discussing plans after hearing about the postponement”.

The Grammys, which was originally scheduled for January 31, has been postponed due to the recent spread of COVID-19’s Omicron variant. BTS, who has been nominated for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance, was originally supposed to attend the ceremony as their first official activity after their recent break.

As of now, the group’s only official confirmed schedule is their offline concert in Seoul in March. Big Hit Music stated, “There are currently no changes to the Seoul concert in March”.
