Rosé cemented herself as a true role model!

Being a K-Pop idol isn’t easy and it takes an insane amount of confidence to be able to get on stage and perform effortlessly while still being the center of the audience’s attention. One person who has always seemed to be able to do that is BLACKPINK’s Rosé.

Whether performing with BLACKPINK or after she made her solo debut, Rosé has always seemingly had this confidence whenever she steps on stage…

Yet, it seems like Rosé might also be an amazing actress as she recently shared that her being full of confidence couldn’t be further away from the truth and that the idol is actually extremely introverted and vulnerable.

BLACKPINK recently made history by becoming only the third girl group to be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Like the other members, Rosé took part in a solo editorial, talking about her life, career, and future. She also wowed with her visuals and new short hair.

Like all idols, Rosé is known for having high standards when it comes to her performance, and Rolling Stone asked if this constant desire to keep improving can be a burden for her.

Rosé was honest in admitting that it could be tough for her and that she was particularly jealous of those who are confident in every aspect of their life.

Sometimes I look at somebody who’s very confident, and I admire that. I wish I was that way too. I am very insecure about it, but only because I care about it so much.

— Rosé

At only 25 years old (international age), Rosé is continuously growing as a person and this includes her confidence which she added, “Is something I’m working on every single day.

Yet, while some people might see a lack of confidence and insecurity as a negative personality trait, Rosé believes that it is a key component for any artist to bring out the best material.

Insecurity isn’t a negative thing — it’s one of the most powerful drivers of good art. I think I am just vulnerable!

In particular, the idol shared her thoughts on why feeling nervous and sometimes not feeling as confident proves just how much you love the business you’re in. For Rosé, it shows in her love for music and performing for BLINKs.

In the past, if I felt nervous, it’d burden me so much, because you just want to be relaxed, right? But to be nervous about something, to really care about something, is what makes life so interesting and fun.

After the next question asked what made her think about it all, the idol got very emotional and even said,” Why am I crying? Oh, my God, so weird. I’m so sorry. I hate myself for this, this is so funny.” It shows not just how passionate Rosé is about music but that she isn’t afraid to show her emotions.

Even though BLACKPINK has been around for six years, Rosé explained that the route to success was finding the perfect balance between vulnerability and familiarity.

I think a good amount of feeling comfortable and a good amount of feeling vulnerable is always good. I also really enjoy that feeling of vulnerability and really wanting or craving something — I really enjoy that feeling. So I don’t want to lose that, ever.

Whenever Rosé steps onto the stage, netizens cannot stop praising the emotions she portrays on stage. It seems as if it stems from how she’s genuinely feeling and the passion for music that she’s had for years.

Rosé has always been inspiring to fans but this interview has cemented it for many. The idol has shown that it’s not a bad thing to be vulnerable sometimes and that it isn’t always necessary to act strong and hide your emotions, especially when things get tough.
