Representing Asia! Actor Ji Chang Wook seen at Beijing Airport

Korean actor Ji Chang Wook was spotted at Beijing Airport, looking fresh in a blue sports jacket with matching white match pants and flashing a bright smile.

With his rising popularity in China, Chang Wook was also invited to attend a dinner event held by British luxury label, Alfred Dunhill, in Hong Kong, thereby representing Asia. According to Top Star News, Chang Wook is the most-searched Hallyu star on Weibo following the success of his thriller drama “Healer,” even more than EXO-K‘s Sehun and legendary K-Pop star, Rain. A representative has commented, “He is honored to be the Asian representative and is preparing to depart [for Hong Kong] with a happy heart.” Chang Wook has also recently joined Weibo, appealing to many foreign fans.

Apart from the dinner event, Chang Wook will also be doing an interview with Apple Daily and a  photoshoot with a local magazine. While meeting fans and signing autographs at Beijing Airport, he told the reporters the purpose of this trip: “Due to my enthusiasm in my activities, I will be going to Hong Kong. I will do my job well, work hard for the shoot, and come back. Thank you.”

Chang Wook has also recently announced that he has enlisted for compulsory military service in 2016. Although no upcoming projects have been confirmed, there have been ongoing discussions about Chang Wook starring in the Chinese-Korean web drama, “Good Night, Teacher.” The role Chang Wook will supposedly take is a cold, sharp-tongued, sinister high school teacher named Yu Tang Zhou, which is quite the opposite of Chang Wook’s warm hearted character from “Healer.” The shooting is scheduled to begin next month.
